Biogena Mirachol 3.0 Gold is a vegan food supplement with a combination of selected plant substances, vitamins and minerals. It is intended as a supplement to a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, not as a replacement for either. If you would like to make your everyday diet lipid-conscious, regular meals, suitable fat quality, sufficient fibre, exercise and a realistic everyday routine are important building blocks.

In nutrition counselling, we often see that individual products are bought quickly, while the everyday basis remains unclear. This is exactly why it is worth taking a sober look at the composition, intake and the question of which eating habits can be put into practice in everyday life.

What is Biogena MiraCHOL® 3.0 Gold?

Biogena MiraCHOL® 3.0 Gold combines selected plant substances with vitamins and minerals in Biogena quality. The product is free from additives, vegan and contains 90 capsules per pack.

It is important to classify it correctly: plant substances, vitamins and minerals are components of a food supplement. They do not replace a balanced diet, medical clarification or an individually adapted lifestyle strategy. Particularly in the case of abnormal laboratory values or already known lipid metabolism disorders, dealing with this should not be managed through food supplements alone.

In the case of lipid metabolism disorders or when taking medication, especially statins, intake should be clarified medically beforehand. Biogena MiraCHOL® 3.0 Gold is not suitable for pregnant women, breastfeeding women or children.

Intake: How to turn it into a reliable routine

It should always be taken according to the recommendation stated on the packaging. Take the capsules with sufficient water and set the time so that you can keep to it easily, for example in the morning with breakfast or in the evening with a fixed meal.

Many people do not fail because of taking it as such, but because of unclear routines. A capsule container next to the coffee machine can help, but it only makes sense if taking it there really fits with the meal. If you often eat breakfast away from home, it is better not to keep the pack in the kitchen, but to prepare a weekly pill box.

Typical mistakes when taking it

  • Irregularity: Taking it for a few days, then another longer break – this does not create a reliable routine.
  • More is not better: The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded.
  • Combination without an overview: Taking several preparations in parallel without checking the ingredients can quickly become confusing.
  • No consultation when taking medication: Especially with statins or other medicines taken regularly, it should be clarified medically whether taking it is appropriate.
  • Expectation without a basis: A product cannot compensate for an overall unfavourable diet.

Fat-conscious nutrition: The plate structure helps with orientation

A fat-conscious diet does not begin with prohibitions, but with a clear plate structure. A simple guide: half the plate vegetables or salad, one quarter protein source and one quarter starchy side. In addition, there is a conscious fat source in a moderate amount.

Concrete examples for everyday life:

  • Breakfast: 50 g oats with natural yoghurt or soy yoghurt, 1 tablespoon ground linseed, berries and 10 to 15 g nuts.
  • Lunch: Wholemeal bread with hummus, raw vegetables and a boiled egg or tofu; alternatively a lentil soup with vegetables.
  • Dinner: Vegetable stir-fry with 150 g pulses or fish, with potatoes or wholegrain rice and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  • Snack: Fruit plus a small handful of nuts or vegetable sticks with a quark or bean dip.

With fats, it is worth looking at the quality. Common sources of saturated fats are high-fat sausages and processed meats, very fatty cheese, cream, butter biscuits and pastries, fried products and many ready meals. It is more practical to plan olive oil, rapeseed oil, nuts, seeds, avocado as well as fish or plant-based protein sources more often.

Fibre should be included daily. Good sources are oats, pulses, wholemeal bread, berries, vegetables, linseed and psyllium husks. A realistic goal is, for example: oats or wholegrains once a day, at least two portions of vegetables and beans, lentils or chickpeas several times a week.

Lifestyle: exercise, sleep rhythm and body composition

Blood lipid levels are generally considered in the overall context. Exercise, body composition, alcohol consumption, smoking behaviour, eating rhythm and stress load are therefore often discussed in counselling. A weekly plan that is not perfect but repeatable is especially helpful.

For many people, the easiest way to start is with short exercise sessions: 10 minutes of brisk walking after lunch, two fixed strength-training appointments per week or taking the stairs every day instead of the lift. Muscle mass is a relevant metabolic factor here. You can read more about this in the article Muscle mass as a metabolic factor.

Body composition can also say more than body weight alone. Two people with the same weight can differ significantly in muscle mass, fat mass and waist circumference. If you would like to understand your starting situation better, the article Why the scales are not enough may be a suitable addition.

Alcohol should be recorded consciously in the food diary, especially if triglyceride levels are noted in your laboratory documents. Instead of planning a glass of wine or beer every day, a clear weekly structure can help: alcohol-free days, smaller glasses and alternatives such as mineral water with lemon, unsweetened herbal tea or alcohol-free bitter drinks without added sugar.

When laboratory values and medical clarification are important

Blood lipid levels are determined through laboratory tests, usually with cholesterol fractions and triglycerides. Such values provide indications and should be assessed in connection with age, family history, medication, blood pressure, weight development and other factors.

If values are abnormal, new symptoms occur or medication is already being taken, you should consult your doctor. Laboratory values do not replace a medical diagnosis. They are a guide for planning the next steps sensibly.

For nutrition counselling, it is helpful to bring current laboratory values, a list of your medications and a three- to seven-day food diary. Also note drinks, snacks, weekend habits and meal times. Small routines in particular add up in everyday life.

Practical weekly plan: small steps instead of a complete overhaul

A good start is a plan for the next seven days. Choose three changes that really fit your life instead of trying to implement ten resolutions at the same time.

  • Monday to Friday: Prepare breakfast with oats, yoghurt or soy yoghurt, berries and linseed.
  • Twice a week: Plan pulses, for example lentil salad, chilli with beans or chickpea curry.
  • Daily: Add an extra portion of vegetables, such as peppers with bread or frozen vegetables with dinner.
  • For fat quality: Replace butter in everyday life more often with rapeseed or olive oil and prepare nuts in portions.
  • For exercise: Put three fixed appointments in the calendar, even if they are only 20 minutes.

Biogena MiraCHOL® 3.0 Gold can be integrated into such a structure if it fits individually. What remains decisive is that nutrition, exercise and medical consultation are considered together.

Note: Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. The stated recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.
